Are these subs IB or does the deck act as a sealed box?

It looks good! Forgive me if I missed it and you already did this - but I'd put a grille on the sub or something, it looks a bit exposed. And is also a bit of a theft invitation as you can see it through the glass..

It is done. Yes, your boot works as a sealed box.
Alpine is not IB sub but Mr singh mentioned few subs which are designed to work as IB subs.

Sound is brilliant within the cabin, but not loud for people on the road.

Mega, my rear windows and rear screen is tinted so you cannot spot if something is fitted.

I had few subs as IB in my last few cars and always left them exposed. Never had any issues so far

ah nice work mate! so when you look into the boot can you see the cone coming from the top? how does it look??

Sumil,
Yes the magnet and half of sub is hanging into the boot.
It still saves space compared to sub box and bass is fired straight into the cabin.

ahh nice thats what i was thinking! must look pretty cool

get some pics up of what it looks like mate from inside the boot! like the E92 is the top of your boot just bare metal??

In ideal world, I want 2 X 12 inch subs.
Few reasons I cannot have those:

- Cannot fit 2 X 12 in rear parcel shelf due to third belt sitting on my speaker parcel shelf
- Cannot have 2X12 in sub box in the boot as I will be compromising with the space

And 1X10 inch is not enough for me

Sumil, with E92 as you do not have central belt, so 2X10 or 2X12 subs can sit there perfectly.

I must admit that IB requires plenty of work and cutting the metal plate + MDF fitting.

Wow Sam looks brilliant mate I'd love to hear that! So let me ask you now seeing ad we know of nicks occupation, what is that you do? I feel jealous when I see updates throughout the day whilst I'm couped up in the office or out on the road travelling!

I am still having some issues.

I could not get best sound out of 10W7 or alpine type XD sub.

There is only one reason and guess the reason...

(you have all the clues).

Mate, I was off this week. And that explains why I responded to some threads during the working hours.
