Whats my car worth?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of selling my 2008 BMW 335i coupe 6 speed manual, 230 rims ,Dakota leather, no nav, mint condiction and under 30.000 km on it. It has never seen snow always stored for the winter! Any idea's what it's worth I have some many people asking to buy it. Thanks Gary

Location? I have been watching the local market (Alberta) on e92's with mt. Those low km are kinda a wild card. I'd say $20k easy. Maybe a little more. Ive looked at a few with under 100k km for $15k

2008 335 with 30 000k is probably worth around 18 000 to 25 000 k depending on where you are located , condition of the car , history .

Pros- Mileage , package, colour , condition
cons- 2008 has the n54 that is famous for all the problems , so a lot of people would be scare to buy it

One thing though , 30 000 km for a 2008 car raises a lot of flags. I just know people that roll back KMs for living , they do it for small dealers and even privately. Not saying it is your case, but be ready for a lot of questions . Carfax sometimes its not enough as anyone can go to the MTO when they renew their plates and write down whatever mileage.

Best way to prove it would be dealer service records

Hey thanks for the response! we have a few cars so that car only gets driven on nice days I don't even take it out on rainy days. I just sold my 2005 c6 vette with only 16,000 km, we just don't drive them that much! I wouldn't have a problem selling it because a few of the service guys at Kitchener Grand River always tell me if I'm going to sell the 335 to let them know. I was thinking that if I asked $28000-30,000 you cant buy a BMW for that price with under 30,000 km. Thanks again for the input!

28-30k may be pushing it. It has low mileage but it is a still a 8 years old car. I have seen 2008 m3s in the 30k mark .

But if you car is in prestige condition you may get it . Good luck

Lmao 18-20k is a crackhead price... 25-30k is a lot more reasonable... Underpricing his car much?

Man I'm glad I don't live in Canada. I just paid $20,000.00 for my Mint 2011 335i E90 with 60k and the sports and premium package. Full service history at the local BMW dealer too, the lady never had it serviced anywhere else, she even got her tires at the dealer.

07-08 335i seem to list in the low to mid 20's around here. I looked at an '07 for 21k at a dealer last year, pretty sparse on options though. OP I suggest checking out similar cars on Autotrader to get a rough idea of what people are trying to get for them in your area.

Yes, but don't forget to convert USD to CAD, $20,000 that you paid for your car is roughly equivalent to $27.5K CAD. Also, convert km to miles - 30K km is only 18,5K miles - so roughly 3 times less than your cars mileage. When all is taken into account - the difference is not that great anymore, if any.

you can get it for less here ... Like someone else said 20k us dollars is close to 30k canadian dollas and 60k miles is high. Most 2011s around here have less than 60k miles

12k a year is hardly high, 15k a year is average (here anyway). And I have a 100k CPO, but yeah I didn't realize the CAD to USD exchange rate was where it is.

Are you considering miles vs kilometers?

kinda makes a bit of a difference.

Man I live in Canada and I just paid $23,000 (American dollars) for my Mint 2011 335 E90 with 28K (miles) and the M Sport package and fully loaded. Full service history at the local BMW too, the guy never had it serviced anywhere else, he even got his tires at the dealer.

I think I overpaid.

Lots of traction regarding the issue so maybe I'll ask just out of curiousity.

I have a 11' 335is E93 with all options, DCT, 19" 313's, etc. Le Mans Blue Metallic and Beige interior.

It's in pretty good condition and has about 81k km. What you guys think is a reasonable market value for this car in Ontario?

fair value private sale is probably $35 - $36K. If trade in, I would say dealer will offer $32K at most.

This. Just looking around for similar 335i/335is, you're probably looking at low to mid $30k.

You can try feeding your details into this site. Results seem reasonable, but YMMV. I don't know where they get their numbers:

There is an IS coupe for $34k and the dealer wholesale is $25k for reference.

As it stands, I'm the only IS convertible available locally without accidents and loaded. I may need to come down to $37-38, but I think I'm appropriately priced given other ads and the cars actual value
