Some questions for the experts. The stock tire size on this car is:

Front: 225/40R18
Rear: 255/35R18

1. Will the callipers on the M Sport package accommodate a smaller rim (17 inch)?

2. If yes to #1, should I bother downsizing for winter tires/wheels, or stick with 18's?

3. If I stay with 18's, should I stagger? If no, will I need spacers in the rear?

4. For winter tires what would be better, RFT or non-RFT?

1. Depends on the rim.
2. Both 17's or 18's will work fine. Generally a narrower tire is better for a winter setup.
3. Both staggered or square is fine. Square is beneficial since you'll be able to rotate your tire for an even tread wear giving more tire life.
4. Most people go with non-runflats because its much more comfortable. Both will work fine

Just to confirm, would it make sense to put rear spacers on a square setup, or does that defeat the purpose? In searching I've seen people say the rear wheels look too pushed in with a square setup, hence the need for spacers.
