Busted my rim on merick road

Im driving down Merrick Road in Bellmore right after Xtreme gym and at the last moment I see a pothole in the left lane on the right side. I try to avoid it yet still hit it. I busted my rim and the lip curled in and actually torn upward. I was lucky that the part that torn upward was millimeters away from where the tire actually fits to the wheel so no air is leaking. You can see the hole in the lip. It not a big gaping hole...more like something as thick as my finger and just as long. No bubbles in my tire. I ordered a new rim already and should have it on this Wed. I feel a slight shake in the steering wheel...and when I shift gears my steering wheels turns slighty towards the right. Im hoping I dont need a wheel alignment. Hopefully its the wheel thats causing the problem. Does anyone know if there is any procedure that I can go through in order to maybe get reimburced for my wheel and maybe for a wheel alignment on long Island due to their shitty roads

Im getting the rim fixed and at the same time ordered a new one. Ill keep the fixed one as a backup if it happens again. And most likely Im going to get the alignment done when my car goes in next week for some warranty stuff and maybe an installed oil cooler. I will keep my fingers crossed for the oil cooler.

The service guy said he will take a look at the car to try to install an oil cooler. I sent them so many sales between november and now that they should give me an oil cooler and a dinan upgrade for free LOL.

Specially when they are cheapo ebay wheels!!

I cant wait for my tax rebate check from Mr. Bush...I could use that 600 and buy a new set of 162 reps to throw on the car.

I have to have a clean set of something on the car before Eurofest..no showing up with bent and curbed wheels.
