Might be a photoshop but it's the closest so far to the real thing. When they refreshed the 5 Series they made similar changes. I think it looks good except for the huge mirrors. I wonder if the M Sport version will be changed as much? (the M Sport 5 stayed more or less the same).

i also agree that current E90 grilles are more agressive. I never liked those cutesy round grills on the E92 and 5 series. The sharp edge between chrome and vents on top part is very good. And the ones that are all black aftermarket look sweet as well.
I am more curious if the new 3 series integrates navigation into its dashboard much better then the current design that sticks like some ugly pimple out of the dash. I am pretty sure that you guys who are expecting different shape rear lights are kidding yourselfs. M3 sedan is out with those same current rears. The way they used coupe's front was dictated by design and layout of the coupe that suited better, in terms of fitting engine, etc. Reasons like that wont apply to rear end, and in todays cost cutting days of BMW, they would be idiots to redesign the rear. I repeat, if they wanted new rear, we'd see it on m3 sedan. So expect same facelift as always from BMW - different shape bumpers, some changes to some panels, but thats about it. Lets hope interior improves.

to be honest, i am thrilled at this face lift. It looks awesome! I am also happy to see this, because from sketches i've seen online of OTHER model revisions to come, this DEFINITELY hints the future for BMW. THe 3 Series always hints some future desings. For example, all models would have, since 2k6 have that shadow line by the door hanldes stretchin across the body. Since then, the x6, x5, and so forth have adopted this.. event he NEW 7 and 5 will. I knoow some will say this is what bmw does.. well.. still its a matter of HOW it looks. We know bmw will do shadlow lines or lines on the side, but how.. and the 3er showed it. Damn.. i really like this. I AM DYING TO KNOW HOW A NEW MTECH WILL LOOK! I am sooo feeling the hood! ( i know the current bumpers will fit, but they might redesign the mtech too) |

wow....it looks stunning! i really like it!
-i was expecting to see e92 style headlights but there are other new things it the front that make it look much better than the current one! -as 320what said, i don't think that the rear lights will have a different shape, just more leds or led bars like the facelifted 5 series and x3 -it also says on the bottom of the picture that the new 204 hp 323d will be available at the beginning of 2009! -the wheels look hot too, i defiantly think they are staggered... -the hood, the new grills, and the new spoiler give it a much more aggressive look - the new mirrors are bigger indeed but the same happed to the new c-class and the new audi a4; i'm guessing it's a new safety regulation this might not be the final facelift but still....i'm so happy with the choice i've made !!! (see my sig) |
