AA Tune and AFE Intake
A few shots of the ride. AA Tune and AFE intake. I was advised by AA to put back the stock intake because of the AFE pipe dimension gives out bad readings which will end up loosing 10hp. Does anyone have the same setup?

I run the AFE sealed intake w pro dry and the AA tune. Noticed no losses. Makes the car sound great. I would confirm with them which intake they are talking about. They could be referring to the open air version.

@Johnny D I couldnt notice a difference but here is the email they sent me, what do u think?
I would actually recommend you don't use the AFE system because of findings on our own dyno. After the car adapts and a few miles have been covered you will actually lose up to 10hp at the wheels. This is due to the pipe not being identical size/shape/flow of the stock box causing the MAF to get a bad signal. I would replace it with the stock box and a drop-in filter. |

AFE Stage 2SI is fine, it's the open box one people use that say is heat soaking their engines. I've had mine for about 7k and no problems ever. Euro uses same cone type, it's just OEM for EU.

The heat soak was not the reason it lost power though.. We had the hood open with 3 fans so thats not it. I believe the issue was caused by the maf placement. The car was not getting a very good reading causing a jumpy Afr.

That was part of the reason for the heat soak issues too I think. Somebody came up with the fix though.

Yea but having a dyno after it adapted would be pretty cool. To see if it helps or hurts power figures.
