Good glass cleaner?

Stoners has been my go-to for years, but lately, and i don't know if it's because of a formula change or what, but it've been feeling like it's cleaning ability is lacking. I remember talking to phil@detailersdomain about this at a meet earlier this year ( Hey phil!, i was the guy that let you use my hotspot on my phone ).

What have you guys been using to clean your glass? I already have a bunch of microfibers specifically for glass cleaning.

A detailer from the dealer handed me a can of this generic stuff "2525," for free. It's some ammonia based foam cleaner. Works like a freaking charm.

I still use Stoner's and think it does great. In fact, from your subject I was coming in to recommend it until I read your post.

My wife had me buy 5 cans in Walmart to keep with the car stuff, kitchen, and all the bathrooms.

It makes me wonder because i've exclusively used stoners for YEARS. Just lately i find myself still having streaks and am using a WW microfiber that is well take care of too.

Meguiars D120 Glass Cleaner. 20$, it mixes at 10:1 so you will get 11 gallons out of it. Smells insanely good (grape), works great. one of the best bang for buck products.

Stoners is good stuff. If you decide to buy pro stuff that requires dilution, make sure you use some kind of deionized water or else it will leave streaks.

I think secret is in 2 stage cleaning

Wash with soap and water

Dry

Clean with safe window cleaner
And washed MF or paper towel

I prefer MF towels

Newer MF's tend to lint

Yea i basically do this method. I switched to using a WW cloth and I'm getting great results now.

I knew it wasn't just me. I think they changed their formula. I switched to using a WW cloth now and everything has been a lot better since.

So would this be the right place
for an occasional glass polish also?
Maybe every month or two?
