anyone know the paint code to the m-sport diffuser?

anyone know the paint code to the m-sport diffuser?

I have a '11 335 m-sport coupe, and I am converting to a quad exhaust. the cf diffuser I am thinking about getting will need to be painted to stay as 'oem' looking as possible.

does anyone know the paint code? it appears to be a couple shades lighter than the black sapphire paint of the car. It appears to be dark gray and non-metallic.

anyone?

thanks,
robert

@BTM - Thanks, but I know my paint code for black sapphire (that's the color of the vehicle) - my problem is that the diffuser is painted a different color... a lighter shade in the dark gray color. THAT is the color code I need. I can't find it anywhere.

The diffuser is not painted, it's just bare plastic.

not on the '11. It's definitely painted, and it's some dark gray color.

Please see pic. The diffuser is painted a dark gray gloss color. I need that paint code if anyone knows. It appears to be non-metallic. Thanks.

That's unusual... another difference between e90 & e92... e90 has the standard matte grey one.

yea, I've read a lot of that so far... the '11's are all sorts of different... little tweaks here and there... not just limited to the 'n55'... well, we'll just add another to the list.

Ahh I thought you wanted to paint the diffuser the same color as your car. I wonder if you could go into your dealer and talk to the parts guys - they've proven to be pretty helpful in my experience

I am under the same impression. I just painted the diffuser on my 2010 M-Sport and found it to be bare ABS plastic.

look the large photo of the '11 above. The 2011's E92 diffusers ARE painted. Gloss Grey (something>. I'm just going to paint the new quad diffuser space gray metallic (even though the paint that is on there now is gray clearcoat.) It will be close enough I suppose, I just wanted the OEM code. Not a lot of folks yet on this forum have the 11 e92 m-sports yet. I'll call BMW Monday to get the code.

Definitely not space grey. More closer to a sparkling graphite. I pretty much have the same car as you OP, but a convertible. That is an excellent question...I could ask JMK BMW body shop near me...

I would recommend the aerosol Sem Trim Black 39143 for the diffuser. It's very close to OEM finish and you can get them at your local professional automotive paint store.
