Active steering replaced but does not feel the same as before

Hey Guys,

Few months ago I damaged the bottom total steering angle sensor on the active steering. unfortunately that sensor is not sold separately and I had to replace the entire rack.

I got the rack brand new from BMW and was installed by a local specialist who are one of the best in town and knows what they are doing. Also had replaced the outer Tie rods.

The issue is it does to feel the same as before. The new steering feels much lighter. The old steering was more stiffer and heavier.

Also i remember with the old rack the wheel used to rebound back after a turn. The new rack does it but not as much as before.

my car is E92 335i 2007.

Any input would be appreciated.

Does it feel the same as when it was damaged? I'd rather have it not working. Active steering

FWIW, the Active Steering on my (late) '07 328i wagon has always felt very light (over boosted). Was the 335i different, or was another unit fitted during the '07 model year run?

Exactly. I thought that was the point of it.
