Tire Shop got a screw in brand new tire....fffffkkkk!

Went to get my new VMR rims and tires installed. Went to pick the car up tonight and I find a nail in the rear passenger side brand new tire!
What should I do!?

Not just a replacement, I'm demanding a brand new tire! This is so frustrating!

Since you drove home, it might not be so easy to get them to admit fault. That *could* have happened on the drive home -- aka not their fault.

That is the point, I DID NOT drive the vehicle home. I did not touch the vehicle after I dropped it off. I went to pick it up and I get to the shop's parking lot, check all rims and tires and I see the damn nail in the tire.

BTW, this was done by German Swedish Auto Service in Springfield.
I'm demanding a new tire! This is absurd.

In that case they should definitely replace it.

+1. I've been running OEM RFT's with industrial truck patches/plugs in them for years now, and haven't had one issue... Can't count how many times i've plugged my RFT - despite the dealer stating I can't. As for the plug work, it was done at a BMW dealership at that...

in that case, since the car was always on their premises, you should demand a new tire and accept nothing less. if you haven't driven on the new tire, you have no liability.

+1... also did this on the side of the road on NJTPKE, and rode that tire for an additional 15k miles until it was bald.

absolutely. however, you don't need to dismount the tire to do a simple plug... for emergencies, i always carry heavy duty plugs with me at all times - and a tire inflation kit...

It could've been just a plain accident, I'm sure the shop didn't wanna just put a nail in your tire. Handle this calmly, and they should take care of you. All you really need is a tire plug. I also see your point, they were brand new!! Next time come see me , we are right around the corner from German Auto Group.
