EOI: E92 Rennart Full Exhaust (mid & rear sections) $850
Hey guys
I have been researching exhaust systems for a while and the general concensus is for the outlay of a full exhaust system ($1500-2500 or more) you're better off spending your $ elsewhere for power gains that provide more BFYB and if you're after a more acoustically pleasing exhaust to just buy a eisenmann rear section or a BMW performance item. I was going through a few threads on power gains and was thinking of going with a remus/meisterschaft/BMW P rear (the eisenmann is just too pricey imo for a muffler!) when I came across a guy who is clearing out leftover stocks of Rennart full systems (Rennart have gone out of business) for $600 + P&H within the usa. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=644954 Researching a bit more reveals that the system is moderate in terms of DB and looks quite neat imo in appearance, and for the money great value! This got me thinking one of my mates has a contact through the muscle car scene who imports a container load every week and he is based in Long Beach Socal, if I could get 4 systems its possible they could be landed in Sydney (Taren Point) for ~ $850. Would anyone be interested? If they were to be sent it generally takes 6 weeks by the time it is loaded in the USA, arrives in Sydney at the wharves and goes through customs etc http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1733 Rennart dyno run: 1. DR-JEKL 2. JEXUS? 3. JP330C? Last edited by DR-JEKL; 12-11-2012 at 03:29 PM.. |

That is an absolute bargain. If only this deal happened a month back, I would definitely put my hand up and jump on board.

Having said that, it definitely isn't as noisy as an eisenmann race or a remus race this is more of a supersprint street exhaust but considering the price of this full system this is what you pay for non resonated mid pipes alone! You could consider the mufflers as freebies pretty much! |

FYI guys I PM'd a guy on here who had this system in his build thread and had sold it when he parted his car out, he mentioned that it was a good quality system that he had no dramas with in 3 years of ownership.

Yeah it's so cheap which is why I am even tempted to get an exhaust. Shane can you ask for the dimension of the exhaust tips for me? (length, diameter of inlet and outlet) because I might get a quad exhaust tip to put on it. And it would be nice to find a sample of what It sounds like when it's non-resonated..
But yeah, still count me in for one Shane |

Yea the owners were local here and one had started a family and didn't have the time/money to put into the business and the other didn't have the resources he said. I know he had a couple exhausts in stock and was looking to liquidate them. TBH I don't think its a scam @ $600 plus P&H its cheap but not 'stolen' cheap, did you check his rep out on the other forum (he is a 5 series owner)? Unfortunately in liquidation circumstances the liquidators dont give a rat arse about what the market value is, they just want someone with cash. I believe these systems are imported in bulk lots of 25 (all the big name usa manufactures HPF, AMS, Helix etc import their products) and had say 10 systems to liquidate. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy was a local and bought them for $1000 or something crazy! |

Anyone here already have catless DPs and procede ?
It's already pretty loud. I really would only put on the rear boxes and keep the stock centre section; good idea or not? |

There I no way with DPs and the right tune it sounds stock. I have 3" AR catless and until it is warmed up it's close to stock. Once it's warm and the tune takes over its much louder and has a great burbling sound on decel.
