someone stole my brake discs!

they stole my old brake discs

i came home for lunch today, around 11.30 (doing early shifts so get an early lunch) and i was sitting in the living room, eating... suddenly i hear a diesel van approach, doors open quick time and then a bit of shuffling and then the doors close quiick... i was thinking 'the fvck is going on, have they taken my car' LOL...

i get up and the van is already shooting off leaving a trail of blue smoke... some old white renault with marks left over from previous company decals...

i go outside to check the car, she's all okay...

then i realise, they took my old rusted up brake discs... these discs were warped and fvcked up from me smacking the hammer on to get them off the hub... and tbh, i couldn't be assed to take them to the dump yard so they did me a favour :

anyways, whyyy did they take them!? did they actually think they were usable cos i am 150% sure they are not... or can you get money for the metal??

ps. we're having some plumbing issues and my dad was using the discs as a weight to temporarily stop a pipe bursting... sure enough, when i came home, the pipe had burst and now we have no water in the house

Yep. Scrap men. Possibly travelers. Keep anything of value locked up.

It'll be pikies taking them to weigh in, along with all the other metal that 'nobody wanted, honest' that they just happened upon during their travels!

Not the story I was expecting to read after seeing the title.

Saves you a dirty job.

Scrap steel goes for about 6 pence a kilo, 10 pence if you're lucky. They must be desperate.

I've got some tarmac left over from a job and can come over to do your driveway if you like. The boys only want £50 for a drink.
