Does the middle part of the spoiler attach to the end of the car where the curve is, leaving no gap? Or is there a slight gap? If so the installation seems pretty easy. Get it so there's no gap, center the spoiler and glue on making sure both ends of the spoiler are equally away from the bootlid as each other.

Hope that made sense.

Hi all,

I received my spoiler today, very pleased! Mr car currently has a wax on it, how do I remove the wax so I can secure the spoiler?

Thanks.

mine too. what you need is some panel wipe-basically some thinners, or even brake cleaner will do.....

Will Scratch X work? I know this removes a thin layer of paint, so this must remove the wax? I already have this so saves me buying something else!

Just fitted mine today. I washed the area, dried, scratch x to remove wax and dried again. Then stuck her on, once she's on she's on, so make sure you line it up before letting her touch the car.

looks great mate, i think such a small mod makes the world of a difference, just got to fit mine now, only got mine today due to the postal strike and having to wait to go and fetch it.

Did you fit it on your own or did you have another pair of hands helping ?

I did it on my own. I lined up the spoiler on top of the boot and placed masking tape from the bmw badge upwards, and a separate piece on the spoiler. I then removed the sticky cover and used the masking tape as my guide when placing down.

The E90 and E92 are different fitments. I had a e90 2009 msport as a hire car when the rear spoiler arrived and it didn't fit, I tried it for the colour match.

Panel wiped down, dried, lined up with masking tape, peal back sticky tape but leave on a little bit near the edges, drop into place, then pulled out remaining tape at edges, finally finish off by warming up a bit with heat gun. Later on, waxed it.
Done well pleased.

NICE SPOILER

Received mine today - will fit and post pics tonight, slightly nervous about fitting it though as i have a mild OCD and if its even 1mm out i'll have to take it off!
Is it easier with 2 people or will i be OK alone???
Guys with the E90s...did you go for flush or leave a 1/4 inch gap???
