opinions Please!

I'm Thinking about re powder coating the alloys on my car black they would be about the same gloss level as the 'high gloss shadow line' on our cars.

What do you lot think?!?!

The alloys are the only bit on my car that isn't black.

if i did what would be the best thing to use to put my car on while i take all the alloys off? They would only be off for 24 hours don't really want to put it on bricks.

If i had a proper spare it would be a different story....

Thanks boys and girls

I wouldn't. With a few honourable exceptions I don't think black wheels on any colour of car look good.

you said mine look good alan

i would go with matt for wheels and not gloss as it might look a bit chavy, matt just looks a bit more classy. I too thought it might be a bit too black before i got my wheels (see below) but they compliment the cars theme perfectly.

i think the best thing you can do is ask someone very nicely on here if they can do a photoshop for you , so you can see before you take the plunge (ask encee nicely top bloke and a wonder with photoshop)

how about getting some cheapish axle stands from halfords or wherever, not too sure if thats a good idea, someone correct me of thats a bad idea ?!

I personally would not paint the wheels black on a standard car - they look nice as a finishing touch to a modified/lowered car such as Chris's coupe, and also as they are aftermarket wheels.

Not sure black standard wheels would do it any favours?

Maybe see if you can get it photoshopped by someone first?

I tend to think black wheels look better on white / red / orange car rather than darker colours.

Black on black can either look fantastic see CD car or just a bit strange really maybe too try hard. 'Stead of powder coating your own how about buying a new set of alloys for summer and use the originals for winter tyres?

Depends on the style of rim and the car.
