Also if we get blown HPFP can we clear the codes after its been blown? Also any software that is comes with etc? im getting the enthusiest cable

there are many many threads about the BT cable. It is so easy to do. The cable doesn't come with software per se, you need to download it directly from bavarian technic's website. You can clear all codes, including shadow codes. It is a used by professionals for running diagnostics on bmws. It truly is very easy!

It works very well, and the software was desinged to mirror the dealers code reading and clearing capabilities. I spoke with BT at length about this awhile back. I had my tech do an HPFP replacement and he said he cleared the codes but I went and used my BT and i still found them so I deleted them and took it back to him and he could no longer see them and there was nothing in the history. Food for thought.

Just got this as well, but haven't used it yet! Since the car is stock and running well, there should be nothing there right now.

It works and well-worth to get it
However, use a fast notebook for it >= 2.2 GHZ dual core to get 10 - 12 datalogging samplings per second. |

Just tried it, works well! Have yet to datalog. I kind of wish my laptop battery would last longer, as I regularly drive 5.5 hour trips. That would be quite the log!

BT Cable works very well, it comes with fairly easy to use software too. Another option is the KiWi WiFi if you want a wireless solution for your iPhone.

Bt works like this.
Say you have a tune in your car or even stock and your car throws a service soon light or engine check light and half engine light or anything you think your cars having a problem. You simply take the cap off the OBD thingy on your driver side left foot place than plug in the BT scanner code Plug the other USB part in your labtop. Install needed drivers and program which is two link you click and download and install. Than you turn your car's power on but not the ignition which you do by pressing the start button WITHOUT THE BRAKES. Than you open the BT scanner program and click SHORT TEST MODULE. Bunch of codes or no codes will be shown from your car. Than you click Erase code and confirm yes. DONE. Bring the car to dealer with tune out and dealer wont notice a thing.! Grats on the new car btw. you can use the BT cable for both of your car and your dads for price of $300 which is worth it so much.
