circling The Snake

Scott H (the pro photographer who shoots from the apexes on Mulholland drive) shot me coming around the last hairpin on The Snake last week. He takes a great photo! Love the side skirts in this pic, too.

Fyi the front reflector is covered with black 3M reflective film that glows white when the light hits it. Really shines here. Also, the car has front bumper, side skirts and whole hood done in clear 3M vinyl. It really disappears under a good wax.

Great photo! Can't wait to get those side skirts on my car this summer. How does that windscreen work out for you?

Really nice pic... except for that reflector! Looks like a job for photoshop. I agree the aero skirts look great. The Snake is a wonderful stretch of road for both sports cars and motorcycles. My brother and I did that road on BMW bikes a few years ago.

Interesting, I never knew such a thing existed! Sounds like a pretty cool concept. Do you have a link to where you purchased?

Does that film stand out at all when its not reflecting? Its hard to tell from the photo. I just saw that the film is black. Do they have a clear one that you know of?

Love the ///M badge on the kidney grill.
Same one as the trunk lid?
How did you mount it?

Cool shot looks really nice - scenery and the car. Is this the guy that shoots all the video of motorcycle wrecks on that road?

Only thing I'd personally change on the car is removing the front M badge. Car has enough M badges as it stands in stock form.

The more I look at those side skirts the more I try to convince myself that I really do not need to get that 70" TV, 55 is big enough, arggggh! The look absolutely gorgeous on the black roadster!

Hi - no, this is one for the grill badge, off an M3. ebay special. It has two posts and a backing plate that sandwiches the grill slats. slip-nuts hold it together.

thanks! it gets comments even here in a car-spoiled town like LA..

BTW these side skits are coated in 3M vinyl for chip protection... works very well. So are the whole hood and front bumper.
