FS - E90 aircon/heater control unit
I have for sale a pre LCI aircon/heater control unit from my E90 saloon although this will fit most if not all 3 and 1 series models. The unit is in full working order with all buttons working, lights illuminating and the digital screen completely intact. The dials and buttons operate as if the unit was new and the unit is in virtually pristine condition with an Idrive surround currently attached to it. However, if you don't have an Idrive model then all you have to do is unclip the surround and attach your own.
The unit is plug and play, just two connectors at the rear that snap into place without fuss, the hardest part is prising the old unit out in the first place. I am selling this as I have replaced it with the LCI unit and no longer need it. This would be a good replacement for those that have base spec 1 and 3 Series that don't have the auto aircon unit like this or those that have a broken unit. I am looking for £65 with delivery included to UK mainland. Last edited by SteveF1; 02-01-2011 at 07:58 AM.. |

I've read that the connectors at the rear are the same on both models so connection should be fine. From someone who had done it they said that everything worked, lights, digital readout etc but obviously you won't be able to utilise the dual zone system as your car won't have that option so some buttons will be useless to you.
The person that tried this did have a problem with the fans recirculating air all round the cabin and needed it coding to his car so although mechanically it fits and works, electronically it may need coding. |
