The Highline was listed as a separate model on the BMW configurator and was released in spring/summer last year and was available until the end of 2009 (at least, it no longer appeared on the configurator then).

In SE spec (E92), for an extra £750, you got leather, Type 189 alloys (18"), and bluetooth.

In m-sport spec you got leather, bluetooth and 19" Type 225 alloys for your extra £750. As these cars were officially listed BMW models, company car drivers could save some B.I.K. whilst getting the more common and desirable options as speccing these in a normal SE would have cost you an extra £2,600.

It wasn't all philanthropic by BMW, dealer margins on the Highline were lower so if BIK wasn't an issue to you, getting the standard car and haggling worked out just as well..
