Actually, they just changed a few things for this meet. It's $5 for reserved "premium" parking, which is like 100 front spots. Then all the other spots are free. Once that gets full and they block off entrances, you will have to park elsewhere. Security will not allow just roaming through the lanes over and over like before.

You guys are starting to make this sound like place I probably shouldn't be bringing a car that costs more then $5,000 too.

Well of course, its an open import car meet. There will be tools at every car related function. It's part of the culture. I enjoy a BMW only meet like all of us, but I also like to look at a variety of modded cars. If you don't like that scene, then I'll see ya at the next BMW meet.

Ok, so forgive this newbish question but those import pics prompted it... I sometimes get a questionable look from a G35er or 350zer on the road, almost as if they want to sprint down the street...I'm too paranoid of getting a ticket so I never react.
How does the power of my 335i compare to the typical G35 or 350z? I have no engine mods and have an automatic so I think that's why I'm so hesitant... I'm in no way fully educated on the car's capabilities and just how much power I have but I defiantly feel it when I'm zipping around town.. I've never been big into speed much, as you can probably tell, but bought a 335i so I'd have it when I need it! Last edited by Esco; 05-18-2011 at 09:34 PM.. |

Yeah I don't understand that, the DJ, or the video games. Maybe I'm just too old school, but I'm more of the show up at a parking lot, check out each other's rides, and setup some fun runs afterwards at a discreet location. I don't mean to sound like a snob, but there is a big difference between a Scion tC and a BMW. My 328i sedan has no trouble pulling away from one. It is even more apparent from a role. The Z and G have been under powered and they are pretty expensive to make have anymore power beyond CAI and exhaust. -Nate

Hit the largest fucking bump coming out of IAH last night, I thought my car would fly off the ground, checked it today, no damage to anything...I love my 17" stockers! Anything else would have ripped in half for sure plus Im not running run-flats so a flat coming back from the airport would have made my night pretty miserable.
Anyway, just sharing my story, I was pretty fucking pissed at the time though. |
