DIYers?
Hi All, 1st thread.
Just bought an 09 335d in white, 75kms, dealer maintained car It does not have an extended warranty. I'm quite handy having had a highly modified 2004 Jetta (which is for sale.... 2 questions: Are there any DIY'ers in this section? Has anyone found a repair manual for the engine? I have found the technical docs that another member posted, and found the Bentley, but it doesn't have any information about the diesel engine Thanks in advance! |

Ya unfortunately a diesel section wasn't justified due to the limited number of cars. Still I'm surprised Bentley hasn't offered a diesel supplement.

@335dFan, My father was just drewling over that exact bike (nearly) at cars & coffee this morning (to which he rode the f800r, leaving the r1200rt in the garage for the AM). It's funny because he would never buy a 4-wheeledBMW, but he's never bought another brand for his two-wheeled hobby.
Who is the young lad in the shot? Child'o'dfan or Complimentsofgoogle? @yatzee, let us know if you come up with anything. You could try the eurospec workshop manual off ebay, but there will be some dissimilarities. |

Had a 6-gallon tank, got 42 mpg, would cruise all-day long at 80 mph. Of course it would cruise up around 95-100 mph too, which I did, but that got a little tiring on the neck muscles. Note: no fairing. It cost me $2,600 new in early 1974. My riding buddy had a 1974 R90/6, which had a little more top end than mine, but I stayed ahead of him from standing still up to my top end. Mine was looser and was the opposite of a lemon. If I were to buy a bike now, which would probably be a stupid idea, I would want the R1200R.

ok, have done a bunch of research - here is what I've found.
Our engines are the M57TU2 TOP as per the technical docs someone else posted. The 05-08 330d's in europe were M57TU2D30. For the Euro 330d's, I've found this manual: http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/s...egory_rn=10215 Thoughts? |

Shoot, and that is the info I'm after. I might need to buy 1 of those sketchy DVDs that claim to be a copy of the factory manual

But there has to be something. If we bring our cars into the dealer the techs are using something there. We just need to find someone willing to share it or someone who has hacked it liked they've done with the rest of the BMW manuals....

i didn't find anything about our anti-pollution systems. I have some knowledge of the MB system, so I'll have to rely on that when dealing with an issue.
For the chassis, the bentley seems to be the way to go |
