I emailed splash wash, and got the following response:

"Yes. Our Darien location has 4 self service bays. We're right on the Post Road (Rte 1) at Exit 13 of I 95."

I'll prob be moving in 2-3wks. let me know if you check out this place.

I'm gonna try to get over there to check it out, I'll let you know. If I don't get a chance to, maybe a mini-ct meet soon

I have had such problems with Bridgeport service. Went in to have my brakes changes, not only did they manage to give me a broken rotor, but when they were replacing it, the messed up a wheel bearing. Now it squeeks like bad brakes, but all the time, and they couldn't schedule it to be fixed until tomorrow. Keep in mind this is on my X3, but I still have very little confidence in the service department.

Hartford is good, but far from me. Went there once with my moms X5. liked it a lot. Much closer to you Marc!

I searched the web and there was a touchless car wash place in Ansonia, CT -- that's about 13 miles from my house in Trumbull.

I'm all for the self service bays, but man, to drive down to Norwalk to do it?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Has anyone had experience with classic shine in greenwich?

As ZTZ suggested maybe we should have a mini CT meet soon (mid or late june).

Fellow CT member here. Ridgefield service SUCKS. Bought the car there and they couldn't do a single good piece of work. Very incompetent dealer.

Darien is alright, I go there now for service, they're expensive but hey, which $tealer isnt?

In terms of detailing, Zach (ZTZ) and I mostly do our own. Otherwise I go to the fairfield Splash. Tell them you tip well and make sure to tell them exactly what you want, they'll take care of you. But it should be mentioned, no body can do it like you yourself.

My uncle lives in Greenwich and got his car at Competition? Anyways there service place is the size of a warehouse. It can service probably a 100 cars. Really amazing

does anyone realize how far ridgefield is from stamford? ridgefield bmw is like almost in danbury a good 30+ mins from stamford, and Greenwich BMW's service center is actually in NY. Darien is by far the closest, but they are going through a huge remodel so it looks extra bootleg now, i'm going to darien on monday for service we shall see how that goes, but that's where i got my car from

Yes, with the remodel going on, Darien is definitely suffering in the amenities dept. They basically have a tray of supermarket pastries, plus one of those "instant" coffee machines, plus a 21" TV tucked into a display case. All this in space that used to be a service bay, lit with glorious industrial flourescent lighting.

Even after the remodel, Darien's service dept won't be as big as Greenwich's new one, which is huge, has multiple flat screen TVs, a food area, and free WiFi. However, it is in Port Chester, NY, not Greenwich.

There's a detailer right next to the Starbucks near the Fairfield train station. I used him once last summer. He did an OK job, but nothing spectacular. But still better than the Splash $49.95 quicky detail.

greenwich BMW is not a good dealership, my family got two from them, then we switched to Darien just to give you an idea, and mind you we live in greenwich. they have gone through like 3 owners in 5 years or something like that, they almost had to shut down due to the oversize service center they built, now they are merged with pace, i still say darien ftw

Guys,

Stopped by this place in Orange, CT (by Milford) called Automobilia -- they are on boston post road. Place is nice, saw an Escalade, Carrera, 5-series getting detailed so they seem to be on the up and up. for $25 they did a good quick hand wash so I could show up at my tint appointment in the city, clean...
