Good find, my apologies. When searching for Big Motoring World Complaints on Google it still doesn't show for me though for some reason.

You have to see my side however, I found one post (this one) that really seemed to go to town on them. I didn't have a bad experience and so let the users know, that's it nothing more. I'm not here to defend just state my experience.

As for having the car still advertised you're absolutely right, it shouldn't be there......though I'm also not foolish enough to assume what a dealer has on their website is current I'd always call first.

You know mate by trying to stick up for them you are helping to keep this thread going and helping out people who might want to visit Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4.

However, I think we have ascertainied that if one makes the call that you suggest, Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4 would NOT tell me that the car had been sold, but tell me it is still available. Why don't you give them a call like I did just to see!

So, I think we have established that, giving you the benefit of the doubt, you saw a car you liked, went over and it was in stock, you bought it at a fair price, and to date it hasn't let you down. As they say 'One swallow doesn't make a Summer'!

Big Motoring World

I'm afraid I only got to page 20 before I felt I had to join and chip in about this site. I can actually walk to this site and feel I need to share something that I physically witnessed walking past the site a little while ago.

(BTW there is a general concensus of opinion round here that the guy in charge is a little erm, how to say this... dodgy)

So we see what lookis like a customer having a toe to toe row with one of the cheap suited types that delight in ignoring everybody, thought nothing of it, sen it before, probably see it again, carry on walking.

three minutes later - still walking up the road, cheap suited sales person comes flying past us down the pavement with customer in hot pursuit...

I shouldn't have, but I had to laugh, saw them both continue the row in the forecourt of the petrol garage down the road - luckily no violence (or I wouldn't have found it so funny).

The customer clearly had had it up to his neck...

In closing - yes the site is tempting, seeing that many shiny bits of metal (it's great what the motoring industry has done in killing tin worm), but I just know too much about it and the people that work there to ever be able to recommend that anyone buy a used car from there.

Well, done for this and sites like this that highlight these sites for the wary - just wish these guys would shape up or piss off...

well tried reading the whole thread but it's not easy reading with all th "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4" thing being put everywhere on every post, so all i could work out is a few people have had bad experience when going to view a car only to find the car already sold when they got there or the price had been changed?

Well ive yet to buy the car i paid a deposit last weekend and pick it up next week, and to be honest i didnt have any problems with sales people, only thing was they wouldnt take payment in cash only bacs payment or debit card.
just hope i dont get stung for something as soon as i pick car up next week.

To the above poster - if you are having any doubts about your car after reading this forum - get the car checked out by AA/ RAC - any others - it's £80 odd for peace of mind...

There are also problems with warranties not worth the paper they're written on and also swapping faulty parts out on a test drive and then putting them back in again in time for you to pick up.

I wish you luck.

I've never had any dealings with them but I wouldn't give them a quid having read this.

Well it would be £80 plus loss of deposit if they inspector advised not to purchase.

I don't think those inspections are much cop anyway - certainly not 'peace of mind' when you look at their exclusions.

Surely you wouldn't lose your deposit if he found something that should have been picked up on the MOT? But I do take your point about the exclusions...

Good luck... They do have a lot of cars - they can't all be dogs...

I somehow doubt they will smile, say sorry and hand back the deposit without recourse to the small claims court (or getting trading standards involved). In fact, I doubt if they will even allow the AA/RAC man to carry out an inspection!

Best of luck!

I'm sure they aren't all dogs, there's surely good ones there too, it's just the gamble it seems you take doesn't seem worth it when there's loads of other decent dealers/traders around.

Would be interesting to hear what their reaction would be to this request.

Finally someone gets it, that's exactly my point Just stating my experience

One other thing, I called BMW directly myself in the UK and Ireland to confirm the warranty, there was just over a year left when I bought the car. They can give you those details if you call 0800 325 600, and if you call 0906 209 0001 they'll give you the history they have for the car and the factory spec (though it does cost a pound a minute for the second number).

Crivvens the saga with regards to "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4" continues!

With a BMW warranty I would guess you are pretty safe but I would assume that they do not service or properly check the vehicles.
