E92 328i & xi Chrome Exhaust Tips

Hey all,

I know I brought this up last week, and got some feedback that chrome exhuast tips from the E90 might work on the E92 328i exhaust, but now I've found this photo which confirms BMW is doing it to at least their show cars.

http://shows.autospies.com/gallery/a...0&galleryId=43

Wow, that looks so much better than the standard "unfinished" steel look.

The Euro E92 330i ones are supposed to fit the USA 328i aswell

Part numbers:
18 30 7 553 641
18 30 7 553 642

You need 1 of each

Please note the are NOT the E90 tips, as the E92 ones are different

bmwbenz0101,

Wow! That's great to hear. My dealer is a bit stingy, and barely would cut anything off the final price of my new 328xi... I have a uneasy feeling he won't go and just give me the pipes.

Well, at least I know they're available!

Not on hand, as I saw it personally at the dealership. Will have to see what's out there on the Internet and get back with you.

Anyone have a pic of a 328 with tips installed? Tried my 330 tips (us spec) and they wont work. The will fit, but leave a gap at the bottom. Pretty ugly. That is why I would like to see the tips installed, if someone could post it, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Yeah, that doesn't look too bad. But, there is a pretty big gap! I'm really looking for the correct ones. They say they're not available yet.

I just took delivery of my 328xi and bought the same tips. I didn't like the fit either, so I got a refund.

Whenever anyone finds out where we can get ones that actually fit, lemme know!

They are less than $100--if he doesn't throw these in for free, he is an ass. It is just a bolt on deal--my SA did it for me in about three minutes. Doesn't hurt to ask.......

I don't even think they bolt on; you just push them on and they clip. But ya, in Canada they're $175 or something from the dealer.
