When I go to the track, its shell vpower 100. Everyday driving I have to use the Esso Super plus. Works great for me.

I use Shell V-Power all the time. I don't know if it's actually "the best fuel", but for me it works great.
On a side note, the British tv show "Fifth gear" did a test on 3 diffrent fuels some years back on 3 different cars, and on the most powerfull car, a Subaru Impreza, the difference from "regular" fuel (as far a I remember) was about 15 hp at the crank with what they called Shell Optimax. I've never seen that name where I live, so I guess either they improved it or renamed it V-Power

I guess the higher octane the better for our engines, especially if you run a tune.

Edit: I found it here, turned out the "Optimax" was only 98 octane, but on he Impreza they gained 14 hp and 26 fpt.

The cheapest stuff RON 95 or 91 Octane is what is recommended.

I dont think there is a need for 100 octane for every day commuting.

Personally I prefer Shell.

My manual says to use 98 octane, but 95 is good too, and 92 will be fine as well... lol

my 335i is from the usa as well and suggests i use 91AKI which is 95RON. i have actually not noticed a difference between omv100 and omv95. i have tried various 98 as well.

i would however recommend shell v-power as its been good to me in the past
