Reset adaptations after injector install?
I've read a few injector install DIY's and none of them mention resetting the adaptations after the install. Seems like a logical thing to do. I do not know which ones would need to be reset, but I suppose anything relating to lambda or fuel. Or just reset all of them?
Just to be clear, I am not talking about coding the injectors.

Interested in this as well. Which ones to reset? After reset, any procedures/driving habits etc. that need to be followed?

The car should take care of this on its own. Adaptations will ... adapt. Also, IIRC the short-term adaptations are reset when you disconnect the battery for a certain period of time, such as for injector install.

I was advised to reset both the STFT and LTFTrims with new injectors.
Resetting LTFT requires Inpa or Autologic hardware.....cannot be done with piggys or BT software. I would log your fuel trims to see where they are at after injector install. If they seem abnormal then it's a good indicator to follow the above instructions. |
