We go down to save on sales tax primarily. My wife drove down to Woodburn while I hung around downtown. Then I went to the Sony store @ Wash Square.

I finally got to try Whiffies fried pies (cheesy beef stew [awesome], a marrionberry [outta control], and a coconut creme w/ chocochips [yuck])@ 12th/Hawthorne food cart pod and picked up a Nutella Banana crepe for the missus. My wife got me some smoked BBQ across from Woodburn (omg...friggin awesome pulled pork sandwich, chix leg, louisana hot link, collared greens, and cornbread). Sounds like we ate alot....we did!

I checked out a few other pods (never been to some), but came back empty-handed (I'm picky). The line @ Voodoo donuts was out the door and around the back of the building when I got there @ 2pm - so I didn't get my maple bacon bar like I ususally do. I knew I shoulda went around 11pm the nite before when I was out getting the fried pies. =[ I even squeezed in a trip to a different Costco (Portland Costco by PDX is in the ghetto) so that I could save $24 in sales tax.

What do you do in Stumptown?
