Cable for late 2010 / 2011 cars

Hi,
I have a coding cable which support cars upto march2010.

I just wonder if I want to code the cars after that, which cable should I go for?

Thanks.

Cable should be able to also support 2012 e series. If you want to code anything newer which is the F series, you need to code with E-Sys and get a E-Net cable.

The seller told me that it only supported the cars upto march 2010 and I could not understand why was it like that?

So I need a new car to try my cable on it.

Thanks.

I have a 2012 E91 (one of the last few that rolled off the production line). The usual cables work fine for coding my car (my newbie incompetence notwithstanding).

My cable from One Stop Electronics works fine with cars from 2006 to 2012. I have coded an X5, some three series, a five series, and my One. No issues with most, save a car that had a JB4 in it. The owner turned that off and it worked, but was very slow.

Thanks guys for your input. My cable worked fine for 2010 models.
On 2011, it reads all modules and allow me to write.
However when I try to code 2011 radio to hi-fi, it gives me error.
After searching a lot, I found one post by Technics mentioning, it was cable issue.
He tried to code 2011 HU, and initially it did not work.
He tried it with 'correct' cable and it worked.
Just wondering if somebody can put me in the right direction.

P.S: My coding cable is genuine and never gave me any issues.

I'd be interested to hear the answers here as I'll be looking to recode, like Makkan, my head unit to HiFi (May 2011 build).
