It is a software upgrade, which normally takes several hrs to upload. Mine took at least 2 days because halfway, the system crashed and they had to do a hard reset, which meant removing the battery from the car.
After the software upgrade was complete, I noticed several changes in my iDrive while going through various functions. Radio - unchanged Nav - ability to turn off the display of the cellphone signal/radio box in the upper right corner Tele - different layout by having more options when in a call (i think it looks better) - ability to create conference calls when in a call Other menu functions are slightly different Performance wise? - I don't feel any significant changes

By the way, Parkview is the best. They are so damn nice to me and you are in and out quickly. Plus, I got a brand new 2011 328xi with 600km! as my loaner.

Here is the latest update from my experience at BMW Durham. There were actually 2 recalls.
- software update - HPFP replacement It'll take a full day of work to complete the recalls. But they like to keep the car overnight so they can do some cold weather starting tests in the morning. They offered up a loaner. Also, confirmed with them that BMW Canada has officially extended the warranty on the 335 to the 10 years, 200K. |

Good service is such a great feeling! I'm glad you were given a brand new loaner with very low mileage. I got the same car as you but it had 1000km on it how dare they! haha

I just bought a used 2007 335i coupe two weeks ago. after a burnout, the car started to misfire. when i restarted the engine, all was good in the hood. I think it's either the hpfp, injectors or spark plugs. Am i entitled to any recalls???????? Can i just go into a dealership and get things done for free

I've seen it only in an e-mail from BMW Marketing Director (I was harrasing her about bad image BMW Canada not following BMW USA on the warranty) and from Transport Canada. But not an official BMW warranty notice.
