so whats the conclusion guys? LTBMW installed the Burgertuning Angel Eye LEDs and I gotta say I am not happy with them. They are not bright enough during daytime.
So I was going to go with M-TEC next. |

Alpine's are very bright during the day. OSS - probably the best but you have send your headlight assembly in or DIY. Lux - Very bright at night and visible during the day.

OSS are the ones that replace the entire light unit and have that xmas tree light effect right? It's a good idea, but I don't prefer it myself. I don't know if I should do Lux, Alpine or MTEC. I guess I have to do more research. The Weisslicht and Burgertuning ones are crap. Look good at night, but that's not difficult. |

If you want great visibility during the day you're gonna have to cough up more money for the OSS or LS3. I've got Mtec v3's and have been completely happy with them. Apparently there are v4's out now, haven't seen them in person but description claims to be brighter then v3.
*EDIT* this was the thread that made me go with Mtec vs Lux: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=585942 btw this only applies to pre-LCI e90.. you have an 09 LCI? Last edited by AoS810; 10-21-2012 at 10:57 PM.. Reason: added a link |

OSS are nice but there is down time as the whole light has to be replaced. Sooo LUX 5.2 are the best out there. I have the older model LUX 5.0 for 3 years now with NO issues.
GL, and show us some pix. |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=386097 I have Lux at the moment and am pretty satisfied. A couple of weeks ago my outer ring on the drivers side dimmed a bunch. This weekend I removed the wheel well and took a look. The Lux unit fell out of the housing ...I re-installed with long pliers and problem solved. I still might go with the OSS' next year.

just a note the v4's will not fit on LCI, only pre-LCI E90. this also applies to LUX 5.0/5.1/5.2. I dunno which bulb type LCI E90's use but I'm sure you can find it easily.

LUX 5.2 is for the pre-lci though and not for the 2009 lci mode. I could only get the LUX H8. Any comment on that?

I'll try these
I just purchased these: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...5#post12878675
$160 shipped and he guaranteed me that it will be bright, if not I can return them no questions asked. I'll let you guys know. Would be a nice cheap alternative to the LUX. |

What's your budget?
There are "best" options which can cost upwards of $500+ and require custom work. Other options are plug and play and can cost $100-$300. We have a very popular H8 20 Watt angel eye from HPB. Prices are very competitive, very reliable hardware, good warranty and we have great customer service to back it up. |

I got mine a couple of years ago, no burnt LED and they are just as bright as new. Shipped my headlights to Brad at Bavx got them back within a week. LOVE THEM ANGEL EYES. If you do anything other than LED angel eyes imo you might as well stick with the OEM. There's a ton of non-led angel eyes out there and they aren't any different than the new F3x series angel eyes, both look dull compared to LED. my 2c |
