An advice on good cold/hot temps for the NT01's? Do they need to be heat cycled? I'm running my first track day this weekend with them on 17x9 Apex Arc 8's.

Haha about a day after I got the AR OC, a light bulb clicked on and I remembered that ER was making a nice setup with dual cores....wish I would have remembered that before I bought it. Oh well... I'll likely be attempting my own setup with a large setrab cooler in the passenger wheelwell.

You'll love the NT01s. They are great in just about every way...just get a little greasy above 40psi. The weight of these cars is something that takes a toll. I usually started them at 34 and ran them hard for a few laps, then take a cool down lap and they'd be good to go.

Sounds good. If it could be a simple upgrade to the core, I would definitely love to test one out soon as I have a few weekends at the track coming up.

Perhaps another adapter plate for a setrab core that replaces the stock unit?

Haha far from it. Basically everything possible short of upgraded turbos.

The FX100 is holding up perfectly over 10,000 driving miles and 1200 track miles. Sometimes when it's very cold it'll be a little granny, but once you get going it's smooth. I

These kits shouldn't come with Nylon lines, Period! Mine went, and they DID NOT touch the fan at all. We have seen a lot of these breakages with nylon lines, but NO breakages with either the VK motorwerks, nor OEM Oil cooler lines. Both used solid rubber lines. If we are purchasing an aftermarket product for 2X the cost of the OEM, we should expect materials that are at least equivalent to the OEM materials, not cheap crap, used to sure up profits. Several of us have nearly lost motors, because of oil leaks from aftermarket oil cooler lines. This is a crying shame.

Sounds like someone did not do proper testing before they released a product. This oil cooler kit reminds me of the "upgraded" radiator that was pulled away from the market. I am yet to see real world evidence that this oil cooler does a better job than the OEM one....

Sorry missed the suspension part..

I'm running AST 4100 Coilovers with vorschlag camber plates. Camber set at -3 all around, toe at .05. M3 sway in front, MSport sway in rear. All the M3 control arms, and rear subframe bushings. I think that's it.

Unless you are using very firm springs on the back, the rear M3 sway bar will give you a more neutral setup.

+1000 I said this repeatedly months ago..n everyone running it flamed me..

Dual cores mounted in the wheels wells..run sequentially.. absolutely the correct setup. In lieu of this keeping the stock OC and upgrading to a high capacity all aluminum water radiator will not only improve water temps but oil temps as well and will work for all but the hardest track use.

Mounting one radiator in front of another..well I think we all know by now how effective that is.

-3 for the rear might be a bit much, but you sound like the sort of guy who has optimized things... just seems unusual.

It should connect to your existing adapter plate, lie in the driver side bumper, and be reasonably priced.

You keep making statements without data, and that's why you get flamed. You've never been to the track with your vehicle, so there is no way you can understand the tremendous amount of heat produced by these vehicles.

I have never tracked my car ad don't plan on doing so. But at least I know the ER products have been tested on track. So one would think their oil cooler has passed the test on their 135i.

If adding a radiator will solve the heating problems of the N54, then explain to me why the 1M is hitting 280F, same as the OP. Its got an extra radiator, bigger reprogrammed fan/water pump, and air scoops.

Also, do a search for Mr. 5, and you will see his data logs at the track which don't show the car needs an additional radiator.
