The Porsche for sure, it would get killed... but the Ferrari? Isn't it like a 4-point-something 0-60? That kind of acceleration is going to be hard to beat... I suppose an inexperience driver could do better in the 335xi than the Ferrari, but the a skilled driver could probably turn better laps in the Ferrari I would imagine. Of course, I've never been on a track, so I'm mostly speaking out my butt I suppose.

http://forum.gtspirit.com/nurburgrin...7cc2d00f75924& Using "magazine racing", the 335i laps the Nurburgring about 5.5 seconds FASTER than a Ferrari F355. The convertible, no doubt, is even slower. Up here at altitude, it biases the 335i even futher! Power is a small part of the equation when you're on a road course. Last weekend, I was giving a Noble M12 in the advanced group a very very hard time and those things do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. I have some great video, should see if I can post it. Even more embarassing, the well-prepped Miatas typically post similar lap times to stock C5 vettes, given similar drivers. |
