This isn't going to cure your problem but I have the same issue! It's the car kit and not the phone as I have tried many, many different phones.

Yeah...thought that...it's got something to do with the noise cancelling, if i'm sat still, not driving, sounds fine (i think) as soon as i'm mobile, ie road noise etc, it adjusts the sensitivity to cancel out the road noise, thus cutting the voice out a bit and making it to quite? thats my theory anyway!

my E90 never suffered, did have the progman updated though?

Just a quick update on this one....

mic volume is still sporadic, but the car has gone in for some other warranty work, and a PROGMAN update to V 33. Will let you kow if it sorts this out as well.

Fingers crossed !!

With the BMW car kits it makes a MASSIVE difference if you turn toward the mike while speaking.

Fair point but you end up looking like stephen hawkings flying down the road at 60mph in a beemer talking randomly to the centre of your car

Also who's is this mike you speak of? how do i get one? are they like half a tom tom?

seriously though, cheers for the heads up

sorry, i must stop this now....i'll get me coat....

Anygreg, any more news? Has the update sorted out the issues with the car kit? At this rate I will be buying myself a parrot mini kit to replace the factory fit tosh.

Sorry....V33 is now on, and, it has ever so slightly improved the overall quality.
It is still very speed dependant, low profile tyres, rough tarmac, all adds to the degredation of the call quality. A few people have commented on the improvement on the quality....not sure how true that is.

Although i think i am adopting the slight head tilt and twist to the left approach, or the aptly named hawking's power call stance, in a hope that i can over come the mic sensitivity drop off

Think the Parrot would suffer the same if not worse....
