BMW AUTODAB RADIO TUNER ADD-ON

Fits: E81, E87, E90, E60, E63, E65, E71, E72, Mini R56



Fitted to BMW and used for only 2 months while my factory-fitted DAB was being repaired



PERFECT working order, tested before it was re-boxed

Retails for £149 new



Very simple to install, break-in connecter on the back of the CCC unit and plug in an external aerial

Fully controlled for steering wheel buttons (you MUST have steering wheel buttons!), display shows in iDrive screen

Please note this does NOT come with the original windscreen mounted aerial, you will need to purchase an 12v amplified DAB aerial with an SMA connector. It will not work with any factory fitted aerials.

Description.

'AutoDAB' integrated Digital Radio Adaptor. When fitted it is completely hidden behind the dash in the car for a 'factory look'. It is controlled using the vehicle's factory steering wheel controls, and displays Digital Radio information on the Factory Stereo display. The AutoDAB has a voice prompt menu system, for added safety. The Autodab can be fully installed by our IMI certified and experienced installers. AutoDAB have developed a full range of DAB interfaces which cover 90% of all vehicles on the road in Europe. DAB stations can be selected from the vehicles steering wheel controls, allowing seamless DAB integration into your vehicle. The AutoDAB can only be controlled using the steering controls and not the factory stereo buttons!.

I dont suppose this can be made to work on a car without i-Drive can it as imjust have the basic professional stereo.

Works with or without idrive it just plugs in and works with your steering wheel controls.

I just got one from halfords and the reception is good but you can get all kinds of aerials but the best ones are external ones.

Also forgot to mention that this is the same unit the bmw install as an aftermarket kit for £300.

Just searched for the replacement antenna, which is quite dear, although i can arrange a courier collection to save you posting. So i'll offer £60 and see how it goes in my non i-drive.

Thanks for the offer but it's already near enough half price and the aerial is not £60 more like £20-£25.

Not sure tbh but it comes with the multi plug to go in the back of the radio and sort of piggy backs in to it so it is oem in the way it looks so I would imagine it would work along side most things.

£25 was basically what I was trying to knock off the asking price to buy the aerial with, but no worries.
