Question Black Exhaust Tips for 328i (e92 LCI)

Hi all,

I've been having a hard time finding any definitive info on this. I'm looking for black exhaust tips to match the shadowline trim on my 2011 328i e92 LCI Sport.

BMW dealerships aren't of much help surprisingly, nor are the big online parts suppliers other than to say I can return tips which don't fit. The only problem with that is paying return shipping and a 15-20% restocking fee.

I've seen part number 18307610639 installed on a 2013 328i Sedan M-Sport. Looks fantastic. I'm just not sure if the exhaust diameter between this car and mine is the same or different. I would have thought this would be easy info to come across, but that has not been the case.

I've also see part number 18107842862 installed a 335i, but not on a 328i. This is M3 black chrome exhaust tip. An eBay seller assures me that these are 3" in diameter and will fit my 328i, but I'm leary since no one else can seem to confirm this.

Anyone have any expertise, suggestions, experience with this dilemma? I know I'm not the only 328i owner who has gone down this path; I just have seen any of the other threads (quite old) come to a productive conclusion.

Cheers,

Chad

Thanks for the tip. I've seen this site before but decided not to try them because the price is on the high side and it appears they are matte rather than shiny. Since I'm looking to match the shadowline trim, I'm looking for glossy.

Do you have any pics of the tips installed? Am I not interpreting the finish of the tips correctly from their photos?

theyre matte. I think the other vendor on here sells black chrome, other than that you can always paint your stock ones

Are you referencing Cyba tips? I bought the Cyba tips after much IM chat about it with Cyba. They arrived and are very clearly not the same color I'm looking for. Very shiny but not very black. They're more charcoal in color. I'm working out the details of returning those tips now.

I do not recommend DIMISA tips, I had it on my car and it rusted all over the edge the very first winter. Maybe OK for Cali and FL, but not for harsh weather in WA.
Try to get tip alu black covers from F10 or F30, I was concidering that option before I got PE muffler.

bumpedy doo da day. Anyone have any other thoughts or suggestions on the original parts mentioned or other solutions? Currently I'm thinking of using high temp paint in "satin black" or "semi-gloss black" on Cyba tips. I would much prefer to find an easier (clamp on), and full-gloss solution if one exists.

Regular paint would work just fine.....I'm confident as the tips don't see really extreme temps...but I used high heat dupli colour with ceramic black engine paint and just painted the tips and they look fantastic IMO.
