You pay sales tax where you register the car. So, if you live in Va., but buy from a Maryland dealer, you pay 3% Va. tax only. Bobnweave...Pretty good deal, I think, if you were able get the car from Sterling for $495 over invoice. When I was there recently, they wanted about that, plus another $400 in document prep fees so their price was actually about $900 over invoice. Fairfax quoted a little less, and VOB a lot less, out the door.
