Do you know if these are the bumpstops Dinan uses for the e9x?

A side note: you can get the front BMW PS bumpstops seperate from the kit from Tischer, just not the rears..
Hi CVC, sorry for missing this earlier. I think I answered you in a PM, but yes the p/n I gave comes with the dust tube.

Based on what I've been told, I'm pretty sure Dinan uses the Z4 bump stops in one of their kits, prob. the M3 kit but maybe both.

Hey Guys,

In case anybody is interested in the Z4 bumpstop Part #33-53-6-770-350

They are on backorder for a while according to Tisher, just FYI.

They told me about a 2-3 week waiting period for the parts to get shipped from Germany.

Is that for the front or rear? Did you confirm w/Dinan or Tischer this bumpstop is used by Dinan for the E9X?

I have not, I took luckyu's word for it. Evan @ Tischer didn't claim to know either.

However, I feel fairly comfortable with the decision to get Z4/E36 M3 bump stops based on my research on the internet. If you are in the silicon valley, you are welcome to try out my car once I've finished.

Post some pics when you are done, interested to see the drop. If you could measure the free travel of the suspension (= until it hits the bumpstops) front+rear that would be really great info !

Are the springs new or used ? If new, your drop will evolve/increase over the 1st month or so...

This is what I was planning on doing too. If anyone can measure the size difference between ZSP bumpstops and the Z4 ones, please advise.

On a side note, is there anything wrong with using swift springs in the front and keeping the original vorshlag springs that came with my Tcklines, in the back. I want to change the spring rates in the front of my car.

Thanks guys.

In case anybody is interested, the bumpstops I ordered from Tischer were shipped yesterday. My entire shipment including the BMW performance springs and the bumpstops will arrive next week. I'll post pics of before and after shots when I'm done, and provide thoughts on how well the suspension is working.

Please understand that my goal was not ultimate handling but a good compromise between ride comfort and good handling. I'll be matching these springs with Koni FSD struts that I currently have on the car.

Should be a good match..'GaryS and 1fastbmw' like the FSD's w/the PS springs.
So, you got Z4 bumpstops for the rear and E36M3 bumpstops for the front?
Pls let us know how that feels after you get it installed..

Correct, Z4 for the rear and E36 M3 for the front, just as LuckU has listed on a previous post on this thread.

BTW, I came across the following list of parts from the BMW PS Kit for the 135i. I do not know if the parts are different than your 335i, but I figure it would be interesting information anyways.

My springs and bumpstops just came in. The Z4 rear bump stops come with a sleeve. I'm hoping to have this installed tomorrow. Stay tuned...

My installation is done and I've driven the car for a bit.

My initial thoughts:

I can definitely confirm that the Koni FSD and the BMW Performance spring is a great match. If anything, the ride comfort level is better than before. I went down 101 southbound from Mountain View near Old Middlefield road down to Great America Pkway. The ride just felt alot less busy than before. When going over bumps, I no longer felt the secondary oscillation after the initial impact. So the way it feels now is a mild bump, and the suspension settles down nicely. This observation is at 70 MPH.

I'm going to continue driving the car and I'll update this thread with my observations as I get more used to the ride.

Here are some initial pictures, I would say that the drop is not significant. Which is another reason why I'm a happy customer.

Here is the way the car looks after the installation, it should be about 10mm lower than previously after the springs settle.

for comparison here is what it looked like with the stock Sport Springs.

Here is an after shot of the front gap.

Here is a before shot of the front gap.

Here is an after shot of the rear gap.

My apologies for the poor iPhone pictures.

Best Regards,
Jimmy

That's interesting you find less oscillation on the highway. In my experience, there were a couple big bumps on 280 N from De Anza to Page Mill, that on the stock ZSP suspension caused the car to crunch the bump stops and then launch me off my seat.

jwong: glad to hear you like your new suspension.
It's a moot point for you now, but for others who may want to use the PS springs with Koni's, the E9X BMW PS bumpstops are now available seperate from the whole PS kit thanks to Dan@UnitedBMW..

I'm going to pair the PS springs with the v1 dampers (luckyu's, but not w/ ZCP bumpstops). Is this kit then 31332225377 (e36 m3) + 33536770350 (z4) ? Or is it something else ?

The performance kit bump stops CVC is talking about are different. It would be great to know the sizes for comparison.
