Insurance recommendation

Thought I would post up for anyone that hasnt heard of them or used them before.

After Aplan put my insurnace up from £500 to £1400 for no apparent reason other than they dont have as many companies they can now back it off to, so I called around and then remember that Chris Knott previously done a great quote before for me.

Chris Knott - 0800 917 2274 - Martin Duff was the useful chap that helped me.

Im 32 with a 335d and I think its a decent price and decent policy.

Thanks for sharing. Insurance is basically highway robbery these days so any little saved helps. I will give Chris Knott a call when my renewal is due.

My insurance was cheap as chips last time I insured my 335d I had (£600). But now I don't have it I have some crazy emails and post with quotes of £1200- £1500 which is ludicrous. Insurance has shot through the roof.

I used them last year. They previously beat my best quote by 10%. They weren't immediately competetive, but they immediately knocked 10% off my best comparison site quote.

My renewal was £300 more expensive! For no apparent reason...
I phoned them, with a comparison site best quote like-for-like again. Told the lady I had a better quote so wanted to see if they could beat it, and she was outright RUDE. Said "sorry we don't offer that facility you are high risk so the quote is high" So I told them where to stick it and left.

I get the impression if I'd have had another phone operator I'd have had a different outcome.

Very inconsistent service.

But each to their own..

Been with Chris Knott for a few years and can't fault them-found them on an old Honda forum I was on and were highly recommended there aswell.

Have Used Chris Knott ever since a promotion On the Audi Forum 3 years ago.

Cant fault them excellent service and price always the best!

I used Chris Knott when I had an Alfa 156GTA as they were the approved owner's club insurers - always had a good experience, and good prices (for the first year anyway - it was the usual comedy come renewal time).
