Preventative Maintenence For My 07 335i - 80k Highway Miles

Ok guys, I just had an ignition coil fail and someone recommended to change my plugs. I will do that!

I am also wondering what else I should do to my car to make sure it keeps on ticking well over 150k+ miles.

Right now i drive about 100 miles a day, easy highway, about 50 of my 80k are highway miles. I change tires obviously.

What else should I do? I haven't done anything to the car except take BMW up on the fuel pump warranty.

I've changed brakes when I needed to as well.

I suggest you change all your spark plugs before another ignition coil fails.

keeping filters, fluids clean is important like somebody else mentioned.

other then using good 5w40 oil like liqui moly and changing it more frequently there isnt really much else you can do for the motor to last.

Tires

Check whole suspension. Struts/shocks/mounts/sway bar end links/ and control arm bushings all may be at the end of their useful lives.

Replace all of your vacuum lines

Replace your engine mounts with the 335is version so your belt doesn't shred and blow up your motor.

Replace your belt

Drain and refill PS fluid (out the top)

Everything everybody else said.
