National Capital Chapter BMWCCA Car Corral at Grand Prix of Baltimore
Two (2) & three (3) day Car Corral packages will go on sale Thursday, August 9th at 9am for our membership. We have a limited amount of race tickets, corral, and parking passes available so please register now before we sell out.

Our corral will be very similar to last year's outstanding inaugural event. We know we have a late start and many have already bought their race tickets, but we are also offering corral/parking only passes this year so you can join our party. Parking passes offer the closest location to the corral area and track, as well as, a safe guarded area for all day/all night parking. Our designated area is situated right next to the ALMS paddock where all the teams prep their cars and gives you a true up-close racing experience. Corral passes offer an outstanding value as it covers many benefits like coffee/food/drink throughout the weekend, seating areas and shelter from the sun/rain/heat, several high end door prizes from various sponsors, closed-circuit live TV viewing of several races, Central Liquors tasting booth, an exclusive 'meet & greet' with Bobby Rahal and the RLL race team, and much more!

Race tickets are also available as we have secured upper grandstand seating in Grandstand 9 located outside the track. These seats offer an excellent view of a long straightaway in between Turn 10 & 11 and directly across from a Jumbotron to watch the entire race.

For those who attended last year, you know you don't want to miss this event, and first-timers are guaranteed a great time!!

BUY YOUR CORRAL AND PARKING PASSES HERE

The 2-day package for tickets, corral and parking is $265.

Here's last year's prices...

Quote:
1. Friday, Saturday & Sunday 3-day ticket with vehicle corral admittance: $262.50
2. Friday, Saturday & Sunday 3-day ticket without a car corral parking pass: $210.00
3. Friday & Saturday 2-day ticket with vehicle corral admittance: $157.50
4. Friday & Saturday 2-day ticket without a car corral parking pass: $115.50
Is a bit of a price bump but according to Paul, the prices above are the '11 early bird prices. This year, we're later in the game (with no early bird) so the prices are higher. Paul has more details.

Those were definitely early-bird pricing; another about $40/day to get to standard 2011 pricing.

With the race being in jeopardy several times since last year's race, I can't imagine anyone thinking that prices would actually be lower this year overall given all the financial issues BGP faces.

If it makes anyone feel better, go see what Porsche/Corvette is charging for parking

^ because of this, I got scared and placed an order on my tickets. It says my fees are outstanding -- but there's a note that says the organizer will charge at a later date.

I think i'm done... 3 people, 2 day events, 1 parking and my total was $655. Price hike for sure, but couldn't be happier that Paul was able to set this up!

Thanks Paul, for all your efforts!!!

You can always go back into MSR and 'add' to your order if we still have inventory left. Sales are very brisk now, but registraion should still remain open for several more days.

Get more of your friends into the tent! I'm pretty certain BMW will have the biggest turnout again this year

Not to spoil anyone's fun, but should be the last year of the M3 GT racing in the US. Come check them out at BGP!!!

We have a special 'meet & greet' set up with Bobby Rahal and his drivers at our corral. You think they'll give us the truth?

I think the M3 will still be competitive, but the main reason they can't race it past this year is that its no longer in production. Considering it would take another 2-3 years for the M4 to hit the market and get it race-prepped, you gotta get the exemption for the z4 GT car to have any US BMW racing presence.

CCs won't be charged until after registration ends or we sell out. This means you have time to make new friends & bring them to our party

Definitely working on it, Paul. Trying to get as many people interested in the Corral - despite the price hike. As i tell everyone, IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY.

8/13 update - we have close to 130 people for our corral and climbing!! registration will close 1 week from today unless we sellout (which is very possible).

You don't want to miss out on this year since it'll be the last year for the e92 M3 GT in ALMS. And if you missed last year, go check out the pics from the inaugural event and tell me why you wouldn't want to come for 2012

Thumbs up

Just a last minute reminder that registration will close for our BMWCCA Baltimore Grand Prix Car Corral on Monday night, Aug 20th at 11:59pm*

We'll have 150+ people in our corral, but we'd love for more members to come join our Labor Day weekend party. For those unfamiliar, this is our area's Daytona or Indy 500. As one of the only true-street courses in America, you'll be amazed at the show that these races put on. This will also be the last year of the BMW M3 GT in ALMS, so we'll be rooting hard for back-to-back wins after this weekend's big victory at Road America. Get your race tickets and parking/corral passes now by using the link below. So, come on out and celebrate more BMW success!

BMWCCA BGP LINK

For those who have already placed their orders, please verify that you selected the correct options. For example, this year's corral passes are a totally separate purchase from parking. We've seen several people choose parking passes only; however this will NOT give you access to our corral tent (this is a big change from last year). Thus, if you plan to park your BMW in our designated area and enjoy the food/drink and activities in our corral tent, please make sure you have both parking and corral passes.

Once registration closes, credit cards will be charged and we will be distributing tickets via US Mail to your address indicated in Motorsportreg.com (MSR). Please ensure your address is correct in MSR by using the link above; otherwise your tickets/passes could possibly be lost. BMW CCA will not responsible for any lost tickets.

* If you miss the deadline, race tickets can still be bought via www.raceonbaltimore.com. For corral and parking passes, please email Doug Verner at NCCDSRegistrar@me.com.
