I thought it was around the same time. I picked mine up July 13th 2011.

So they finally removed the intake manifold... There is no or almost none carbon build up ( only a bit dirty). They scoped it in front of me and showed me the valve and I took pictures and video with my Iphone 5!
I guess that I'm happy No carbon build up |

Well if you drive hard, the engine will run hotter and cleaner.
My N54 ran amazing, and didnt really have much problems. But we had plenty of people come in with 535s (generally an older driver) with many fuel system problems, injector problems, carbon build up. I tracked my 335i, so it was getting driven quite hard, guess even though I was using it to its full abilities, I was saving its life!

Of course you can. Go to this page with your safari and post reply (advanced mode), there you choose "manage attachments" and "upload file from your computer", then "choose existing" or something like that, choose your picture from your picture gallerie, choose "upload" and "close this window" and Presto!

What's your average MPG for daily driving? It will give a good idea how much you push your engine, as others are saying to drive the motor hard at times to clean carbon.

Model year Mileage Mpg on the car Avg speed on the car Carbon build up issue yes or no? I think those are some of the key factors which are relevant to this issue. If anyone can think of anything to add to this list. Let me know I'll start the thread tomorrow. |
