I need to get my car serviced. I bought it at open road in Edison but Im petrified of taking it back there. Last weekend, I had my oil topped off and came to find that they left my hood open- too bad I was on the highway doin like 90 when I started seeing the hood shake. If they cant even close a hood right, I can only imagine what goes on when they actually work on the car.

I would be nice if I could get a loaner. Any decent dealers around central NJ?

I've bought from Open Road in the past as well and their service dept left alot to be desired..I've heard good things about JMK in Springfield's service dept. as well as Princeton BMW's!! .. Good luck!!

I live in Brooklyn but am leaving from SI (my girlfriend lives in South Beach). Im going to Fort Lee to meet up with Scott, if anything I'll see you on the way or Saturday.

So my dad got his e92 serviced at open road today.... he told the manager what happened and he was all like just have her come talk to me and i will make it upto her, blah blah.... open road also happened to just knock off the rear bumper piece covering the tow hitch [im assuming] last time my dad tried to get work done and this manager ordered the part for him at no charge.... meanwhile the other douchebag manager last time got very nasty with him and said it was missing when the car got there and then threw out his service order and they refused to take my dads car when he most definitely had an appt....

Is JMK mod friendly? In order to get a loaner, does your car have to be in there for more than a day?

Don't know about mod-friendly but you get a loaner if your car has to be there for more than a few hours - regardless of whether you bought from them or not.
