BMW Performance Air Intake System
Hi all
i have 2010 E90 LCI 330i with N52B30 motor produces 272 BHP@6650 rpm & 315 N.M from 2750 to 4250rpm i want to instal the OEM BMW Performance Air Intake System Here is the quote from BMW "A breath of fresh air is enough to invigorate any engine. And upgrading to a BMW Performance air intake will unleash gains not only in horespower and torque, but add fuel economy, reduced pressure drop and overall performance. • Increases engine performance by reducing pressure drop and improving air flow • Additional inline scoop and special element radically changes the internal air path and reduces system losses by 24% • All parts manufactured from highest-quality, injection molded plastic to ensure OEM quality, durability and heat resistance • Carbon fiber insert with silver "BMW Performance" wordmark adds a stylish touch to the engine compartment • Designed to work with standard engine calibration and does not influence emissions • For 3 Series 2006-on: 325i, 328i, 330i " Any body knows how much power & torque i gonna gain from this kit? any one already install can give me feed back on it Apperciate your comments |

It's great- don't know about gains really...
But it seems to increase the power by about 3 HP or so, and gives the engine a nice sound too! Anyone confirm the gains? To be honest, I would get the Performance Exhaust along with a BMS powerbox along with the air intake for maximum gain
That's my configuration. |

Intakes dont give any gains while used as a standalone mod.
It can generates a couple ponys if you go with a catless headers, res + cat delete OR Highflow cat and aftermarket exhaust. If you're looking for sound, this is the way to go. But if you're looking for gains and you're not willing to do anymore mods, you should consider weight reduction.

I installed my exhaust first and noticed some extra kick at 4000RPM+
Afterwards, installed the intake and didn't notice as much of a difference as the exhaust. It definitely changed the engine sound, made it sound less 'stressed' but as far as performance goes i couldn't really tell Who knows, with a tune maybe it'll show up |

A tune will optimize any gains you will get from exhuast and intake upgrades.

Where can I get a tune in the Tri-state area?
I currently have a BMW PAE, PE, and a BMS Powerbox. Sure would be nice to optimize the whole kit and kaboodle!

That's what i've done. Also, a lot of people bash the scoops but I find its a great add-on for cheap. You cant notice gains, but but by the laws of physics, it sure helps MPG AND the temperature you get to the engine is a lot cooler. But you cant expect optimal gain while you still have both cats on the exhaust line. I'm going to delete the 2nd cat tomorrow as well as the resonator. Cant wait to see the improvements. Check Craven's topic in the next days for some medias.

If I delete my cats, I assume I can't get passed at the local DMV inspection station
Gintani tune huh? Wow I'm so uninformed when it comes to this stuff. Guess I'll search around and subscribe for Gintani updates
