Secondary cats removal 2005 325i

secondary cats you can get rid of, they dont do nothing, its the primary cats that have 02 sensors on them that will throw a CEL unless you do the 02 sims..

your asking two different things. you can remove your 2nd cats with no problems. If you delete your PRIMARY cats....then you will need some o2 sims.

Kinda hard to delete the primaries without either custom work or new headers.

If you need help with this I would ask Gavin, he did all this to his car. I know he was running Headers with no cats, straight pipe with resonator and no muffler I believe.

Well an 02 sim is actually just a nut that's extended to push your 02s out farther but still be able to read the incoming mixture and not throw a CEL .

yeah doesnt look too much, in your perspective, im planning on just straight piping the whole car. most fab shops should do that cuhs its just removal and replacing with piping.

be careful with primary removal yall. I dont know what the laws are from state to state, but most of them here in the south you will fail inspection without primary cats...even with o2 sensors.

something to be considered.

Why in God's name would you hack up the stock manifold when you could just get real headers? I realize that this is what OP is doing, but having some effin' jimmy rig is trash. It's a BMW, hack jobs are for Hondas.

I'm thinking about doing a primary cat delete on my 325i e90... After I cleared up the engine light I shouldn't have any problem passing an inspection right ?

false, without sim's the light will come back on....

and technically, you shouldn't pass an inspection at all, because part of every inspection is a visual inspection, and no primary cat (with sim or not) is a FAIL
