im looking to try a new wax product, so was wondering what the forum would recommend... I use sealant below the wax, so Im looking more for gloss and looks rather than protection... however UV protection is always nice!

edit: its going on a lemans blue e90.

I voted Fuzion FWIW. I love Supernatural, but its the hardest to apply of the one's you have posted by far, and won't give you any real increase in durability though it has an outstanding look.

You might also want to tell people what car/ color this is going on.

i have the P21S 100% carnuba one that I have used two times...can barely tell any is missing (just the swipe pattern in the tub, lol - a little goes a long way) I use sealants on all my clients cars so I really have no need for the carnubas.

I used souveran and supernatural... i personally found supernatural to be the better of the two. but it is ridiculously expensive... so i was wondering if the other cheaper alternatives that i posted are on par with dodo or not.

i use a sealant on the cars and then top it off with a wax.

I picked up a sample pot of Supernatural and have been happy with it. Not sure on durability since I layer it over a sealant but it looks great. I have done four cars with the sample and it is maybe half gone.

Boy am I going to piss some people off with my answer. Why uses any of those 3 if you are layering over a sealant? Don't get me wrong they really nice WOWO products but your sealant is going to be your protection layer and the lsp is basically visual at that point. I'd personally save the money, all those 3 start at around $100 a tin and get something like PB Natty Blue or MaxWax for less than 1/3 of the cheapest. I seriously do not think you'll see the difference. Is your car a daily driver, if so again why spend that kind of cash on estate waxes they just get worn off by driving. PB Natty blue looks outstanding on dark colors. Used maxwax in the past and it's really nice as well.

Whoops did not see the P21, if those are your only choices then use that it's cheapest. Be careful not to put it on too thick nor let it dwell/cure too long as it can be hard to get off then.

I agree with you for the most part. Even when layered over a sealant, the cheaper waxes (P21s is a great one for the price) will be 90% as good as the expensive ones. The expensive ones do make a slight difference though, so if you feel like spending a bit more you can get that last 10%.

The real key is prep work though. If you spend the time to remove paint defects like scratches and swirls, the car will look 1000 times better with cheap wax than another car without any prep work and $1000+ wax.

Yep you will get the last 10% with those higher end waxes but I guess my point is if a Daily driver the wax gets compromised so quickly you lose that 10% in the first week.

Not knocking any of the high end 3, I love Fuzion and Souveran for ease of use and gloss but at $100 to $175 a tin whoa. Never used Supernatural, I've seen it and it has a sweating or hazing problem if not done really really thin. If the OP is only open to those 4 I'd hesitantly say the P21 but frankly not a fan of that on dark cars, on lighter colors it's a nice alternative, one of the few that can make white look warm and wet.

For the money there are some down right phenomenal waxes for $30 a tin that side by side if the surface is prepped correctly I defy anyone to tell the difference. I used to swear by max wax on my cars but I've been using the PB lately and really like it. I say give that a try for $20. Yes I'm a bit thrifty

I agree with you Bobble. A higher end wax will definitely only look better for a week or so. However, some of us (crazy ones?) don't mind applying a fresh coat often to get the look we like. I wash and either quick detail or apply a fresh coat every week when it is warm out. During the winter, I use Zaino + Collinite 845 because I won't be able to wash and wax as often.

I bought a full-size container of Supernatural, and love the stuff. It really adds a phenomenal shine and depth. I've only used it on my Jet Black so far, so can't speak for other lighter colors. A freshly detailed car layered with Blackfire then Supernatural is simply stunning.

I also use some sealant of choice (trying Opti-Seal this year) layered under 2 coats of 845 for winter duty. Lasts a solid 6 months from my experience, even through harsh NE winters.

I've been using jetseal and 5050 from CG. I bought some dodo juice blue velvet to give it a try. I hear everyone talking about Collinite 845 being used it the winter. I assume because it lasts longer? I usually wax every 6-8 weeks, even in the winter. With ONR, life is much easier I love this stuff. Anyway, always like to hear about what people use for a wax as there as so many choices out there

A search will turn up plenty of opinions/experience on the different sealants and waxes. For a DD you might want to try Blackfire Wet Diamond, Einszette Glanz wax, Menzerna Power Lock or Collinite 845. These are just a sample of products believed to be of very high quality from personal experience. For concours type events there may be other waxes that you would choose instead of sealants, depending on if you can actually tell the difference in look.
