If i get an e92 335i...

What would be the cleanest and most aggressive mods?

Don't buy it because you'll be nickle and dimed to death. So unreliable it's not even funny!

Visual mods? There are so many to choose from... it really depends on what you like. I put M3 rep front bumper and side skirts on mine, with a CF front lip and did OSS style headlights, CSL bootlid, black roof, and tons more.

Oh weird, another person on a BMW forum ripping on BMW's! I will say though, if you're not at all mechanically inclined such as the type of person that needs to take their car to the dealer to change a brake light bulb, you way want to reconsider modding a 335i.

However, JB4 with the DCI... Turns it into a different car.

Don't listen to this guy. So untrue. People only come on forums to air their problems. You don't hear about the thousands of e92 owners with no issues. This is my second one and have had zero issues. There I said it.

Of the E92 cars one can buy, those with the N54/N54 motor will be less reliable than those with the N52 motor. I don't see why you would suggest that tcharged is wrong on that point. He's not.

I don't think it's "nickel and dime" so much as "hundred and thousand dollar," especially if the car's not under warranty. That said, that's not what the OP asked about, so I won't go into it beyond that. There is no dearth of threads discussing the issues with the 335i cars and the OP is apparently okay with the risk that his car will or won't manifest the same issue.

As for the cleanest mods, I guess they would be the ones that have been washed regularly or that don't need frequent washing. I don't really know.

COMMON AGGRESSIVE MODS
As for the most aggressive mods, surely some crazy stance with rolled fenders would be among the most aggressive/extreme of things one can do visually. Other "out there things" might be adding certain rear spoilers, especially those that are mounted on longish arms that place the spoiler a foot or more above the deck lid.

I guess the real question is how aggressive do you want to go, OP? The limit is governed only by your imagination, time and budget. You could replace the doors with gull wings if you want to, or turn it into some sort of James Bond gadget laden car, or even make it an art car. It's all up to you.

All the best.

My waterpump/thermostat went 45 days after I picked up my 335i. I think picking up these cars, you need to just account for and expect these costs.

Here is probably my favorite "aggressively" modified car. If it is indeed aggressive.

All turbo car modding should begin as follows (I got the memo):
a) suspension
b) tune

after that the order doesn't matter. Which suspension and tune you get should be based on your research here.

Have to agree, particularly if it's a BMW being modified. However, most other cars need the suspension upgrade to make them worthy of the aggressive look. Doing just aggressive cosmetic mods on, say a Civic, without bolstering the suspension to mach the look is much like putting granny in sexy undies and CFM heels, and asking her to strut down the catwalk at a Victoria's Secret lingerie show.

If one is doing solely cosmetic mods and wants a platform for doing them, there are plenty of other great looking cars to use and that will look awesome when done.

Then again, suum cuique.

All the best.

^- like mentioned above. Then just add some spacers. Transforms the car!
