"Roll_the_Dice" is very anal (a perfectionist) about getting the CF on right. A big to him (Andy).
Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it was right! As you know, we spoke a few times and I just wanted to make sure the CF was going in the right direction to match, as closely as possible, your current CF. I don't call it anal, I call it doing it right!

This CF isn't for everyone, but I think it blends well with the silver. I am sure if the Company that did the silver had not told you the silver reflections CF was discontinued, you would have done the other pieces in this CF first and might not have done the smaller bits.

Honestly, you are right. The paddles were the most difficult to do...they always are. I have done 3-4 sets of paddles in CF and they are tedious and time consuming. This set was particularly tougher, since they have the cut outs. I will give Daemon props for the + and - sign though. He had them printed for me and included them as a surprise in the package I received! So all I had to do was put them on after 2 coats of resin and then resin over them, 2 more coats. Fortunately, I enjoy the tedious tasks of laying cf and how different the final results are to where they start...especially after all the resin, sanding, clear coats and polishing.

Again for the skeptics and to show some of what goes into this process.

Perhaps "Roll_the_Dice" (Andy) can explain the process he went through.
These are some in process photos he had sent me.

As you can tell these were just small and tedious. Once the CF was laid on the piece and had dried...I sanded, trimmed, and put more resin on...it is just an on going process of making sure the resin is level and in the right places and knowing how to keep it off places you don't want it. There are tricks that anyone that does anything like this has and no one ever reveals them all. After they were trimmed, I had to measure where the CF and resin would be too thick to fit in the mechanism of the paddles themselves. Without leaving the metal exposed, it would not function properly. Once installed, you never see those places, but they are necessary to make sure everything fits and works like it is supposed to.

Like I said, I enjoy doing this and seeing the progress a part takes as it starts to take form like it is supposed to.
