I think it's safe to say this kind of system would be more suitable being integrated on a HUD. Frankly, this is a accident waiting to happen. Cool vents though!

Very cool dash. I wouldn't like the fact that my passenger couldn't see the nav screen though.

Yikes! That's the most distracting gauge cluster I've ever seen. TMI.

This is easily my favorite part about the interior:

So simple yet so smart.

I do agree ... let's just say "too much information" not good for the accupands safety ...

It's amusing that the climate control is amazingly clean and intuitive and the gauge cluster is, well, a cluster.

How is this any different than the nav screen being ten inches to the right? Everything is now right in front of you.

Only downside I see, is the passenger basically can't see sh*t.

Love everything but the gauge cluster. I'd rather have a Din Nav, but other people might like the aspect of having it right in front of them rather than centralized on the dash.

I like everything about it except the nav cluser and simulated analog gauges. I want real gauges, damnit...not a computerized display of yesteryear.

That said, is this actually confirmed or is this still not the production-ready version?

Audi really knows how to put together a cool high quality interior without overdoing it on flash.

I don't know about that...I think electronics are more reliable than ever. Same thing with avionics, the more digital you go the more reliable it all seems to be in today's age.

Interesting, however very tech heavy rather than design heavy. The expectation was that it was going to have a digital speedometer with a built in interactive screen---however i was expecting more creativity and quality in the materials and shapes.

The MK1 Audi TT's interior was one of the greatest interior designs ever put into a production car, and by all accounts within Audi----also one of the most expensive interiors to produce. The MK2's interior was very disappointing as it took a more generic look, however captured glimpses of the MK1 interior.

With the MK3, the rumour was that Audi were going to really try to create something NEW again, and recapture some of the spirit and uniqueness of the MK1 interior. I do think they have captured some uniqueness, however as for the design details they are a bit disappointing.

The original Bauhaus aesthetic was something that was very unique at the time and is still unique nearly 20 years after the original concept was shown.

MK1 interior:

I hate digital gauges. HATE HATE HATE. At least the nav system looks improved but it's still a VW nav system so we'll see...

The rest of the interior looks great. Decluttered and driver-oriented. That shift knob could probably stand to be shortened a little.

no thanks jeff

Hate the integrated GPS into the dashboard, I think it'll be too much of a distraction when you look fully down. at least for GPS now it's mounted up top, so you can at least see the cars in front of you.

another thing I dislike is, the passenger can't see it now as I usually let my passenger put in the routes or whatever in Navi while I focus on driving
