Snow chains on 335i E92

Has anyone fitted snow chains on their stock 18" 335i E92 wheels? I keep reading it's not recommended Which is too bad for me as I only have one car.

Can you afford a spare set of 17" wheels with all-terrain tyres? I think it could handle snow duties satisfactorily...

If you do the hunting and running around to get used wheels and tyres, it shouldn't cost over $800-1000..

I was considering a spare set but as I'm in an apartment, there's no space to store a set wheels!!

This is probably the one thing I wished I still have my old 323 e92

Thanks for the suggestion spj. I also looked at them but they are not legal in VIC. Probably not in NSW too?
