Yeah, from what I see on here, I need a non-metallic tint because of CA. How do they handle the dot matrix?

don't quote me on this but my price quote for an e90 from dirven was around 200, maybe 240. Either way I suggest you email Art at driven dynamics for a quote, he replied within minutes of my email quote request.

LA Tint in Sterling for F1 Pinnacle. They have other locations closer to DC, but the place in Sterling is where a few of us have gone (and been happy).

leagel tint
remember to keep it legal, combined total, factory + tint = 35% all around. or you will be paying to rip it off.

EDIT - looked up DC. It's 70% front, 50% rear: DC law allows the after factory application of window tinting in motor vehicles (DC Official Code § 502207.02), provided the following requirements are met (except for MiniVans):
For MiniVans:

One more vote for Driven Dynamics in Rockville. They've done alot of our community members' cars to much satisfaction.

FWIW, I'll be having my GTI tinted there in the next 2 weeks or so. I'll take some pics and give a little review of the service/install/materials/warranty.

Is there another alternative?
I'm wondering if it's possible to just buy glass for the windows that's darkened to the degree one wants. Much like the glass used in sunglasses. If so, does anyone know where?

/agree on Driven Dynamics. Had to have my 5s from Arizona ripped off for Maryland inspection, got retinted at Driven Dynamics. Great service, friendly staff, and willing to be fair and negotiable on price. Had my tail lights done (lamin-x) at the same time, they also look great. A friend of mine just got his Dodge Ram done there earlier today. 3M tints are well warrantied, too. If they crack/fade/etc you can have them redone at any authorized 3M tint dealer.
