Where did you have it done, and were you satisfied with the results? I'm not sure I need it (probably do, I sense some hesitation on tip in, and I've got 44K miles on the car and it's oil changes were just standard intervals based on the car's computer, done by the previous owners).

This is something I'll more then likely take on this winter, might as well learn this now, since everything is going to direct injection and the problem will be around for a while. Next time I'm at motorwerks, i'll talk to them about doing it, maybe get a group buy going if it's a decent price. The dealer cost seems to be pretty high.

Sounds great. I'm in no screaming rush, and doing a group could be a win-win for all.

Another SE MI 335i that would be interested in a group buy for walnut blasting. Would be great if Motorwerks makes that happen.

Haven't had my car long, but would be interested if the price is right. I'm not in the mood to pull the intake manifold to take a look at the moment.

Is there a general mileage and/or symptom that indicates deposits? All I've read is an idle stumble may be deposits.

Got mine done at the dealer under warranty to help alleviate my shitty idle, mind you that all ignition and fuel delivery system i.e. injectors...it did not help!

But my valves are spotless and I have meth to keep up on the up the cleanliness of them!

Anything from Motorwerks? I'm thinking about going there to have some curb rash taken care of (stupid first owner). Maybe I could package some work together.

When you go there, mention the group cleaning to them - I have yet to hear anything. Keep us in the loop!

It's week of the 4th, so some guys might be taking the week off, or a few days at least. I'm off all week (although far from bored!)

Good to know I can get to Chicago for this (group buy or not). I know VS has a very good reputation in the community there. I just don't have the time to get over there (and justify the gas expense, too). I'm still holding out for a local (Detroit-Ann Arbor-Lansing) option.

Going to try and assemble some sort of group buy/event for this as I want it done and am not going to the stealership. Posted in the MI thread about it.
